Greg Morin joined the fire service in the spring of 1979. He has spent his entire career with the Auburn Fire Rescue Department starting as an unpaid Civil Defense Auxiliary Firefighter. After graduating from Fitchburg State College in 1984 with a BS in Industrial Arts Education, he was promoted to Call Firefighter. In 1997 he became a full time Firefighter/EMT with the Town of Auburn. He graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, Career Recruit Class 137 in August of 2000. He has held several positions within the department over the years including overseeing EMS supplies, Training Division and Vehicle Maintenance. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004 and Captain in 2012. He is an Instructor with the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy and is a certified Fire Instructor I, Fire Officer I and is a credentialed Fire Inspector I in Massachusetts. He oversaw the day to day operations of Group 3 as one of the four Shift Commanders before his transfer to the Bureau of Community Risk Reduction, Fire Prevention Division in 2018 serving as a Fire Inspector full time.
