The Planning Department serves a variety of functions within the Town’s government. Its primary role is to provide technical and administrative support to the Planning Board by coordinating the submission and review of development applications.
The purpose of the Auburn Board of Appeals is to hear and decide appeals in accordance with the law, to hear and decide applications for special permits upon which the Board is empowered to act under, to hear and decide petitions for variances, and to hear and decide appeals from decision of the Code Enforcement Officer, and protect the Town’s Aquifer.
